You may also nominate another individual to exercise these rights in the event of death or incapacity, and withdraw consent you have previously given at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@bhaaratbazaar.com; we act as the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through the Bhaarat Bazaar platform.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected — including providing our services, complying with legal, tax, and accounting obligations (for example, retaining GST invoice and transaction records for the period required by Indian law), resolving disputes, and enforcing our agreements. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Children’s Data
Bhaarat Bazaar is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. Consistent with the DPDP Act, 2023, we do not knowingly process the personal data of children without verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data without such consent, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Data Transfer
Your data is primarily stored and processed on servers located to serve users in India. Where we use trusted service providers that process data outside India, we do so only in accordance with applicable law and under contractual safeguards, and only to countries not restricted for such transfers by the Government of India.
10. Grievances
For any privacy-related grievance or to escalate a request that has not been resolved, you may contact our Grievance Officer. Details and the statutory response timelines are published on our Grievance Officer page. We acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through a prominent notice on our platform. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
