Frequently asked questions
Do you take a cut of my sales?
Not on your own storefront sales. Direct UPI and Cash on Delivery have 0% transaction fees. If you connect Razorpay/Cashfree, they charge their standard ~2% gateway fee directly to you. Bhaarat Bazaar charges only the flat monthly plan fee. The only marketplace commission is an optional 1% fee on the "Sell via Bhaarat Bazaar" programme, where the platform manages marketing, fulfillment, and collection on your behalf.
How does the subdomain work? Can I use my own domain?
Every store gets a free subdomain — yourname.bhaaratbazaar.com — set up in under a minute. On the Pro and Max plans, you can connect a custom domain you own (e.g. yourbrand.com) so customers never see "bhaaratbazaar.com" in the URL.
Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?
Yes. Upgrade and you pay the prorated difference immediately. Downgrade and the change takes effect at your next billing cycle. Monthly plans can be cancelled anytime; annual plans are paid upfront, are non-refundable and run to the end of the term.
What payment methods can my customers use to buy from me?
You can enable Direct UPI (buyer scans your QR or copies your VPA, submits transaction UTR — 0% fee, money lands directly in your bank), Cash on Delivery, or connect Razorpay/Cashfree (for automated cards, UPI Intent, and netbanking, with standard ~2% payment-gateway processor charges).
How does shipping work? Is Shiprocket included?
Every plan includes custom Pan-India shipping rate setup and PIN-code validation so you can set flat or weight-based delivery fees. Automated Shiprocket courier integration — with 1-click courier pickup, automated AWB generation, and live label printing — is included on Pro and Max plans.
What payment methods are accepted for my own Bhaarat Bazaar plan?
For your monthly/yearly plan we accept UPI, credit/debit cards, and netbanking — all in INR with a GST invoice provided automatically.
What happens to my store if I downgrade to Free?
Your store stays live. If you exceed Free's 50-product cap, the oldest products beyond the cap are archived (not deleted) — you can restore them by upgrading again. Custom domain disconnects and your store is removed from the public /stores directory.
Is there a free trial for paid plans?
The Free plan is forever-free with no time limit, so you can build your store and test the platform first. Any paid plan also comes with a 14-day free trial — no card needed.
Will my store be listed publicly on bhaaratbazaar.com?
Only Pro and Max stores are listed in our public marketplace directory at bhaaratbazaar.com/stores. Free and Basic stores stay private — buyers reach you only through links you share (Instagram, WhatsApp, your own marketing).
Do you support GST registration and filing?
Switch on GST in your store settings, add your GSTIN and set the rate that applies to your products — it is then added to every order automatically. Registration and filing you'll still do through your CA or the GST portal.
